While the equipment is called a boiler, that’s a bit misleading since modern boilers don’t actually boil the water – they heat it to 145 – 190 degrees Fahrenheit.

What's the difference between a boiler and a furnace?

Does a boiler heat hot water for my home as well?
Some “combi” boilers can heat hot water for your home, as well as provide heat. Other boiler systems can use an external water tank called an indirect water heater to heat and store hot water for showers, etc.

Of course! Adding zones to your heating system can help keep the main living areas of your home warm and comfortable, while maximizing energy efficiency by lowering the heat in unoccupied rooms or other areas of your home that don’t need as much warmth.
